Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in less than one hour from thunderstorms. * WHERE...The recent burn scars across Madison County, with the greatest impacts from debris flow possible on the Cloudrest, Bivens Creek, and McAllister burn scars. * WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...Heavy rainfall over the recent burn scars across Madison County is expected up to and during the period of the watch. Residents near the recent burn scars across Madison County should prepare for potential flooding impacts. Be sure to stay up to date with information from local authorities. Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the
ground and obscures visibility.
It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets.
Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions
close to a body of water.
Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in
the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
